So you're a regular and know what you want, but not sure where to go?
Don't worry we know how to help. Out of the
thousands of snowsports resorts out there below we've
selected a few that are as good as it gets for
intermediates and also have a little something extra which
you might also enjoy:
Looking for great
dining:
Courchevel,
France Winner
of the skilicious! 2010 Best Resort in the World for
Intermediates Courchevel is the jewel in the crown of the
largest linked ski area in the world; the Trois Vallees
which is actually now so vast as to include a fourth
valley - you could spend weeks here and not even scratch
the surface. Courchevel also boasts one of the widest
arrays anywhere of accomodation and dining options to
suit any budget.

Looking for great
Apres-Ski:
Banff - Lake Louise, Alberta,
Canada Winner
of the skilicious! 2010 Best Ski Resort in the World,
Banff - Lake Louise is arguably two seperate resorts each
with a different flavour but which are close enough to
serve up together just about anything the most discerning
winter traveller could want. The best nightlife is mainly
centred around the Banff town centre and we'd recommend
staying close as nighttime temperatures in the depth of
winter will make you eager to get back in a hurry after
closing time.

Looking for a great City
Break combination:
Park City & Salt Lake City, Utah, United
States Park
City, just outside of Salt Lake City which hosted the
Winter Olympics in 2002 and is an interesting
exploration, is a good base for enjoying the neighboring
three ski resorts of Deer Valley, The Canyons and Park
City Mountain Resort. Each have a different flavor but
have most certainly one thing in common; if you like
powder, then you'll love it here, in fact in most of Utah
(due to the Great Salt Lake effect phenomenon), which is
why we'd also recommend visiting resorts such as Alta and
Snowbird which are just a stones throw away and also
covered under the Ski Utah Passport. Anyone planning on
going to Deer Valley or Alta should however bear in mind
that they are two of the only resorts in the world where
Snowboarding is actually banned.

Looking for good value
for money:
Serre-Chevalier,
France If you
are looking for intermediate cruising mileage then
Serre-Chevalier is the place for you, and also for
everyone else in your group; there's plenty of terrain
for all standards, skiers and boarders. This collection
of little villages isn't the most lively destination, but
does give a somewhat more quaint approach to winter
vacations compared to the purpose built mega-resort
alternatives and in general there's some real
accommodation bargains out there
